CEIOPS launches level three guidance
The Committee of European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Supervisors (CEIOPS) today published the first consultation paper on level three guidance for Solvency II. The paper covers the pre-application process for internal models.
CEIOPS said that, because many internal model applications are likely to be for group internal models, the paper also provides guidance on the operation of the College of Supervisors in the pre-application process. Companies have until 8 March 2010 to submit their response.
CEIOPS is working on the rest of the level three implementing guidance.
