Solvency II role created at SCOR
Reinsurance company SCOR has made a series of senior appointments including actuarial and regulatory roles.
Teresa Pichot has been appointed senior project manager for Solvency II, a newly created role that will begin on 3 March. Pichot joined SCOR in 2004 as chief accounting officer after holding several accounting positions at KPMG and Partner Re.
A new actuarial and finance department has been created within SCOR's global life business (SGL) and will be headed by Frieder Knupling from 1 February. Knupling was previously deputy chief risk officer and will report to Gilles Meyer, CEO of SGL. He will supervise finance, risk management, actuarial and underwriting, and embedded value and risk modelling. He will become a member of the SGL executive committee.
Sophie Picard has been appointed head of group internal audit starting 1 February. Picard will report to Denis Kessler, chairman and CEO of SCOR. Picard has held various actuarial positions within SCOR including head of control and modelling within the group actuarial department.
