UK actuaries awarded CERA
The CERA Treaty Board has agreed to award the UK Actuarial Profession accrediting body status for the Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) qualification.
The UK Profession is the second after the Society of Actuaries in North America to be approved for this new global qualification, development of which began last year (IERM, News/Comment, 20 November, "Global ERM qualification launched").
The SOA said after its board meeting on 26-27 June meeting that six other organizations are in line for review of their applications to become award signatories.
SOA president Mike McLaughlin noted, "The Treaty Board set its administrative foundation with the creation of the CERA Global Association in May." Interest across the world remains high, he added, "especially with the recent recognition by Best's Review of the CERA credential as the gold standard in enterprise risk management training."
