Excellence rewarded: InsuranceERM reveals 2025 Americas award winners

The prestigious winners of InsuranceERM's Americas awards 2025 have been announced. These awards recognise the best in insurance risk management, the finest actuarial and risk modellers, as well as leading technology vendors, service providers and consultancies.

Carl Groth, chief risk officer for Legal & General Retirement America scooped the esteemed CRO of the year award. Groth and his risk team have played a major role in Legal & General Retirement America's growth and success in the US pension risk transfer market, and it is for this reason that the judging panel selected him for the award.

In a crowded field, Bermuda-based Resolution Life took the prize for re/insurer of the year, following a strong business year. The company reorganised to consolidate its capabilities and focus on scale, while promoting inclusion and belonging as key values at the highest level of leadership.

Moody's was a high achiever this year, winning four technology awards, including catastrophe risk modelling solution of the year; economic scenario generator software of the year; LDTI solution of the year; and stress scenarios software of the year

InsuranceERM's deputy editor and commercial editor, Ronan McCaughey, thanked the independent panel of judges for their time, effort and expertise in selecting the winners, as well as everyone who submitted entries.

McCaughey said: "Congratulations to all the winners of the InsuranceERM Americas Awards 2025 – you are setting the standard for innovation, resilience, and excellence across the insurance industry. We applaud your leadership and look forward to seeing your continued success."
