01 October 2018

Consulting and actuarial firm Milliman has hired Paul Fulcher as a senior consultant, based in London.

Fulcher joins from investment bank Nomura where he spent six years as managing director for ALM structuring and insurance solutions. Prior to that, he directed risk advisory teams at Royal Bank of Scotland and UBS.

In his new role Fulcher will focus on ALM and capital management.

Fulcher is one of InsuranceERM’s Most Influential people in the European risk and capital management industry – and is the twin of Graham Fulcher, currently chief actuary for overseas general insurance at Chubb.

“We’re thrilled to have him join the firm,” said Oliver Gillespie, principal and one of the leaders of the Milliman practice in London.

“As the UK insurance industry and regulatory landscape evolves, Paul’s expertise paired with Milliman’s financial and enterprise risk management and M&A solutions will expand the firm’s offerings in these areas.”

Fulcher said: “I’m delighted to be joining Milliman with its reputation for independence and innovation. Together we are ideally placed to help our insurance clients solve any challenge that may arise in the investment and capital markets.”
