The judges were struck this year by LCP's InsurSight actuarial reserving platform, awarding it the best use of cloud technology award.
Built from the ground-up to harness advanced analytics and AI, the platform transforms traditional actuarial work to deliver major efficiencies, strong governance, and team collaboration. It works to reduce the time needed to spot emerging trends, thereby allowing teams to focus on informed, proactive decision-making.
The platform integrates actuarial modelling, robust governance, and collaboration into one seamless workflow. Machine learning then detects and prioritises key issues, to give management fast, accurate insights into changing risk profiles or claims operations. This supports better business decisions, reduces the chance of reserve shocks, and strengthens financial and stakeholder confidence.
The last twelve months, says LCP, has seen one global commercial lines insurer reducing their portfolio review from two weeks to less than two days as a direct result of moving their processes to InsurSight.
In the past year, LCP saw six major feature releases for InsurSight alongside a launch in Canada. The firm now supports analysis of more than $260bn of reserves across over 30 insurers. So far, its clients report more than 85% of time savings, described by one CFO as "gold dust".
