Judges will recognise innovations that help insurers to optimise balance sheets, manage risks such as interest rates and liquidity, and support long-term financial resilience through smarter modelling, analytics, and execution.

Best use of artificial intelligence in risk management

This award is open to re/insurers, solutions providers and consultancies in Asia-Pacific. The winning entry will explain how artificial intelligence (AI) or one its many branches, such as machine learning, is being used in insurance risk management to measurably improve risk selection, data segmentation, risk modelling and fraud detection, as well as lead to quicker decision making and better customer engagement.

Catastrophe risk modelling solution of the year

This award recognises the solution that best supports re/insurers in understanding, quantifying and managing catastrophe exposures. Judges will look for innovations in modelling accuracy, data and analytics, and practical impact on underwriting, risk transfer and resilience planning across Asia.

Climate risk initiative of the year

This award is aimed at re/insurers, solutions providers and consultancies in Asia-Pacific that can demonstrate a notable initiative in the field of climate risk management. This can include climate risk transfer deals, climate risk modelling, climate risk management frameworks, etc.

CRO of the year

This award celebrates the chief risk officer in Asia-Pacific who has shown outstanding leadership over the last year in embedding risk management at their re/insurer. Judges will look for vision, influence, and measurable impact in areas such as capital strength, governance, strategy, and resilience.

Funded reinsurance provider of the year

This award celebrates an exceptional player that has excelled in providing a funded reinsurance solution for bulk purchase annuity (BPA) insurers in the Asia-Pacific over the past year. The award recognises those funded reinsurance providers that have demonstrated superior service and innovation. The winner will have made a substantial impact in terms of capital optimisation and risk mitigation for insurers in the Asia-Pacific region.

IFRS 17 solution of the year

This award recognises an insurance company, vendor, or technology provider in Asia-Pacific that has demonstrated exceptional innovation, implementation, and impact in delivering IFRS 17 compliance solutions.

Reporting software of the year

This award recognises excellence in the development and implementation of software solutions that focus on regulatory reporting, business intelligence, and analytics.

Stress scenarios software of the year

This award recognises a provider that has delivered outstanding software to design, run, and analyse stress and scenario tests. The winner will demonstrate innovation in modelling capabilities, usability, and integration, helping re/insurers improve resilience, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making.
