WTW has won InsuranceERM's Asia Pacific ALM solution of the year for its RiskAgility Financial Modeller, which has been recognised for delivering fast, transparent and scalable asset-liability modelling (ALM) for insurers.

The solution supports strategic decision-making under many regulatory regimes, such as Hong Kong and Singapore RBC, IFRS 17, Solvency II and ICS, enabling firms to project financials, solvency ratios and risk capital under a wide range of market scenarios and strategic choices

Clients reported major improvements: one insurer now runs a 650,000-policy book in three minutes using RAFM's new engine, while another runs their stochastic ALM model across up to 80,000 cores and has reduced hardware costs by $1m year.

Benchmarking also showed ALM runs operating 96% cheaper than legacy models thanks to RAFM's low-memory approach.

With a fast and flexible platform, the judges agreed RAFM delivers clear ALM models, usable for seriatim deterministic calculations and sophisticated stochastic risk assessments, which can be easily maintained and are flexible enough to adapt to changing requirements.
