In countries like the US, UK, and Canada, life reinsurance volumes have surged to support the growth of pension risk transfer and annuities. Participants see significant potential for future growth.
There are also many emerging markets ripe for development, such as Asia, where new solvency rules are leading to a massive decamp of assets offshore.
