FWD Insurance has appointed Alexander Wong as its group chief actuary and group executive committee member.
He will be based in Hong Kong and manage all aspects of the Asian life and health insurer’s actuarial functions.
Wong joins from HSBC Life where he worked for 14-and-a-half years, most recently as managing director and group chief actuary. In this role he oversaw actuarial management across HSBC’s insurance operations in Asia, Europe and America.
Currently, he serves on the International Actuarial Association as an executive committee member and co-vice chair of the membership assistance committee. He is also a council member and former president of the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong.
