Get global regulatory insights on life reinsurance at InsuranceERM's London conference

Regulators are intensifying their scrutiny of life reinsurance, with growing focus on asset-intensive structures, private credit and cross-border risk transfer.

As supervisory attention sharpens in the UK, US and globally, understanding the regulatory direction of travel has never been more critical for insurers and reinsurers alike.

Join our regulator panel at InsuranceERM’s Global Life Reinsurance Conference in London on 4 June to hear how regulators in the UK, Europe, US and Bermuda are approaching the sector, and what it means for strategy, capital and growth.

The stellar lineup of experts includes:

  • Vicky White, director of insurance and cross-sectoral policy at the UK’s Prudential Regulation Authority
  • Petra Hielkema, chairperson of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority
  • Judith L. French, director of the Ohio Department of Insurance, French is also a member of the Life Insurance and Annuities Committee at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in the US
  • Eugene Dimitrioudeputy director for long-term and financial risk, supervision (actuarial services) at the Bermuda Monetary Authority, will also be part of the panel

The regulators will discuss the developments, trends and risks in the life insurance and reinsurance markets that concern them most, while sharing the top priorities in their respective jurisdictions.

The experts will then drill into pressing issues, such as concerns around the use of funded reinsurance and any further steps they expect to take to manage these.

Given that private credit exposure is putting life reinsurers under growing regulatory scrutiny, with concerns around valuation, liquidity and systemic risk, the panellists will share their views and way forward on this.

They will also share best practice when dealing with your local regulator and the keys for effective communication between supervisors and market participants.

Building on the success of last year's conference, InsuranceERM’s second annual Global Life Reinsurance conference on 4 June in London provides a hub for international practitioners to gain a global view of market developments, meet in-person and share the latest insights.

A 20% early bird discount rate for the conference will end on 24 April, so book now. InsuranceERM subscribers receive a further 40% discount.
